A NOTE ON YOUR INFORMATION

Your email.
A clear purpose.

Restroom Ready is a student project by Five Girls. Joining the waitlist lets us contact you about trying the product and relevant project updates.

What the form saves

Your email address, the page you signed up from, campaign tags from that link, and the time you signed up. We use this to manage the waitlist and understand which ideas brought people here. We do not ask for your precise location.

Where it goes

Hosted signups are stored server-side in the site’s database, accessible to the project team. The local development version stores test signups in a local database. Your email does not appear in page URLs or analytics events.

Accounts, saved places, and private notes

The finder uses Google Sign-in through Firebase Authentication. Google and Firebase process the identity information needed to sign you in. Saved places and your visit notes are stored in Firestore under your Firebase account ID. Notes are private to your account, separate from the public city listing. You can remove a saved place or delete an individual note from the finder.

Public cleanliness ratings

Anyone can read the community cleanliness average and rating count without an account. Google Sign-in is required to add, change, or remove your rating. Firestore stores one current 1–5 rating per account and restroom. Your individual rating and account ID are private; the public summary contains only the total score, count, and update time. Your email, name, saved places, and private notes are not included in the public summary. You can update or remove your rating in the location details.

Maps and location

The finder uses Apple Maps when its web token is configured, and OpenStreetMap otherwise. The selected map provider receives normal connection information such as your IP address and the map area requested. Choosing Locate me asks your browser for permission to use your location for distances and map positioning. The app does not store that location in Firestore or send it to analytics. Opening walking directions sends the selected destination, and your location if you chose to provide it, to Google Maps.

Analytics

When the team enables Google Analytics, it measures page visits, campaign sources, and completed signups. Google Analytics may use cookies and process device and browser information. We do not send your email address to Google Analytics.

Removing your information

You can ask the team to remove a signup or account information by opening a request at our project repository. Do not post your email address in a public issue. Ask for a private contact method instead. We also accept removal requests by replying to any waitlist email the team sends.
